I maintain and troubleshoot integrated avionics systems on the B-52 Stratofortress - tracing data flow through communication, navigation, and flight-control systems, isolating faults, and holding every fix to a mission-critical standard. It's the same discipline I bring to AI systems: understand the system end-to-end, trust nothing you haven't verified, and get it right the first time.
As a Heavy Aircraft Integrated Avionics technician, I operate and maintain the communication, navigation, mission, instrument, flight-control, radar surveillance, and electronic warfare systems on the B-52 Stratofortress. My work centers on interpreting how these systems behave under real operating conditions - reading data flow and wiring schematics, running built-in test procedures, and using dedicated ground support equipment to isolate the root cause of a malfunction across tightly interconnected systems, not just the symptom in front of me.
Beyond diagnosis, I install, align, and modify avionics components, software, and firmware, and maintain cryptographic components in accordance with National Security Agency directives - work that demands both technical precision and strict security discipline. I also inspect integrated systems to determine operational status, document every finding and corrective action for the maintenance record, and support ground servicing and launch/recovery operations, where a missed detail has consequences that show up immediately, not in a postmortem.
